ORGANELLE TRAIL WEBSITES TO HELP WITH RESEARCH
Virtual Tour Inside Cells and Detailed Info, on Cell Organelles http://www.cellsalive.com/cells/cell_model.htm Cell Organelle Table http://www.biologyjunction.com/cell_functions.htm Inside a Cell learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/cells/insideacell I know the kids think this is a very cheesy song but it is quite catchy and can help my auditory learners memorize the three parts of cell theory. A fun look at the history of how cell theory was developed.
12/7/16 Students have been enjoying being introduced into life science and really loved working with microscopes.
We are currently challenging the students to be very curious as scientists should be and rather than focusing on the right answers always focusing on supporting their thoughts and beliefs with research and evidence. I know this can be a very hard way for middle school students to think but this will help them develop their scientific processing skills and science literacy. |
